you forgot: not seeing Sakic on the ice.
I've already repressed that memory.
Man.....that sucks! There is always next year :-)
Now as is customary when the Avs miss the playoffs, I shall go hide in a corner and wait for next year. Can you let Ryan and Tony know? ;)
Lol ouch. Well, at least you got to see a rarity: decent goaltending from both Peter Budaj and Andrew Raycroft.
shane man, that has got to be rough...
Smyth gets injured, Avs stopped getting scored on.
I'm not saying anything, or maybe I am.
Replace Smyth with Clark and I'll by in to your theory ;)
I thought you'd be somewhat privileged to witness history. Those were the first back to back 1-0 losses in Avalanche history. I guess that's the last time I share tickets with you! Greedy! =)
It was a true pleasure to meet you Shane. I sure hope we get to do it for seasons to come.
See you around!
You forgot that you got the shaft from Avs management too...
It was great to meet you, Shane. Sorry you came all that way to see the Avs play the way they did the last two games. At least the third period was exciting in a "rip your heart out and shove it down your throat" kind of way. Someday, I'm going to road trip it up there just for some Timmy's.
jay, I'll be back. They can knock me down but I'll keep getting back up ;)
mike, very true. They'll change their stripes at some point but it will be to keep up with the rest of the teams. They won't be a leader in that area, that's for sure.
texaco, absolutely! When we arrived at DIA, my first thought was "I wonder if there's a Timmy's here?"
You're right, the third period was exciting. It didn't culminate in a goal but at least there was some energy in the building and on the ice. So it could have been worse ;)
