Jordan Leopold will require surgery on his injured wrist and will be out for at least 2 months. Sigh.
On the plus side, we should see Finger in the lineup for those 2 months and get a few more glimpses at Cumiskey.

I'm at the end of my rope with this guy. I mean, I was not a huge Tanguay fan, but at least he plays most nights. I mean what have we gained from this trade really? An injuried D man who never plays. However, I do agree with what you said, we'll get the chance to see more of our younger D-men.
At this point, the trade was essentially Tanguay for two 2nd round picks. Codey Burki and Trevor Cann were the result of those picks and they are solid picks.
If those 2 work out, then the Tanguay trade could be considered mildly successful. Unfortunately we'll have to wait at least a couple years to see if that's the case.
But as for now, we'll have to settle for Leopold's injury being a door for prospects to come in. Yippee-kai-yay.

I hate to say this, but the way he's been playing the team will be much better without him.
Yeah, he's been playing like crap lately. Turnovers, soft play, no offense.
I was just watching Sportscenter and I think where he hurt the wrist was on that hit by Penner that led to the Gilbert goal to make it 3-2.
