Forsberg Will Play Tonight

The moment we've all been waiting for has arrived. Peter Forsberg has announced that he is ready to play against the Vancouver Canucks tonight.

Forsberg has been skating on a line with Sakic and Hejduk during practice and I can't see that changing. Forsberg and Hejduk were a dynamite combo and the trio obviously know each other very well.

I'm sure the injuries to Smyth and Svatos had absolutely nothing to do with this decision. Nothing.

Nonetheless, I'm stoked for the game tonight!

Now that Joe is getting healthier, is it OK to say his last name, or do we need to go with akic just in case? Like you said, forwards with "S" names have done something to anger the hockey gods and we just can't have that.

Enjoy the game tonight, I'm excited too! 2 points, without overtime, would be really nice.

Jay, maybe we should just keep calling him "god". With a little "g" so as to not tick off the big guy upstairs ;)

I'm hoping the Avs can crunch the Canucks tonight after seeing some of the comments on the Canucks message boards after the Smyth hit.

Nothing like being giddy about hearing a rival player was in a brutal looking hit. Yeesh.

Shane---god with a little g = Joe...that will work for sure!

Glad the Avs could get some redemption for the Smyth hit comments. How much is there to say when you haven't beaten the Avs in the last four tries though? Not a jinx, just a fact.
